Kinetic Basics

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of motion design. We will explore the basic concepts of timing, the principles of element transformation, and linearity in transitions. We will focus on a static frame as a starting point. We will gradually consider how simple changes bring a scene to life. Exercises with an emphasis on tempo, delay, and sequence will help you understand the structure of animation. We will conclude with an analysis of simple compositions in action.
